The Liberia Early-Warning and Response Network (LERN) is a conflict early warning system for Liberia. Built around the Ushahidi platform, the project aims to help organisations identify issues that may escalate into violence, and provide a baseline for conflict trend analysis.
LERN has collected over 2,000 reports during the three years it has been in operation. The organisation has now brought that data together and published a report analysing conflict trends in the country.
Insight on Conflict's local correspondent recently gave an excellent overview of the workings of the project.
