The mission of the Agonga Youth Alliance (AYA) is to encourage Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) fighters to respond to the government offer of amnesty and abandon their rebellion. Its programmes target the reintegration of former combatants as a key component to sustainable peacebuilding and reconciliation in northern Uganda.

Current programmes also include HIV/AIDS education and awareness programmes, community mobilisation for peacebuilding and income generation projects for returnees and resettled former combatants.
