The Association implements initiatives in resolving conflicts and crises, working to provide opportunities for communities to contribute to development processes and helping them to express their problems, hopes and dreams.

The Ajeal Marib Association is considered a leader in community and civic action, and it is supported by the Social Fund for Development, which supports the association's development work. It implements projects in partnership with international organisations.

Examples of these include a project to strengthen the role of mediators in disputes in the province of Marib, and a project to support the role of tribes in dialogue processes. Work also includes a project to restore citizen confidence in armed areas by holding meetings and setting up a variety of services.
