El Jesr (The Bridge) is a socio-cultural organisation which advocates for a peaceful culture based on tolerance and mutual relationships. Established in 2012, it conducts cultural events, ecological tours, concerts and radio programmes. El Jesr sees culture as a key aspect of openess and progress, and so promotes a strong cultural life and interest in order to fight intolerance, violence and agitation.

Its objectives are to:

• Strengthen relationships between civil society in Tunisia and Italy in particular, and among the peoples of the shore of the Mediterranean in general.
• Promote cultural exchanges between Tunisia and the countries of the Mediterranean to support intercultural dialogue between young members of Euro-Mediterranean countries.
• Strengthen the social and cultural Tunisian-Italian partnership
• Promote alternative tourism.
• Create economic and cultural opportunies.
• Opportunities bilateral meeting on the economic and cultural level.
