Empowerment thru Creative Integration (ECI) is a Pakistan-based capacity development organisation with a mission to create ‘change-makers’ who promote socio-economic transformation. The firm was founded in 1989 and has over twenty-eight years of national and international experience in strategic planning, institutional development, project design, implementation, mentoring, and evaluation.
ECI is known nationally and internationally as a premier training institution with most of its work being designing and implementation of national cascade training programs – where the capacity of a large number of participants has been strengthened through each intervention. ECI has developed curricula as well as designed roll-out strategies and trained trainers for each program implemented. The organisation specialises in designing strategic training programs that translate complex concepts into training material for different audiences ranging from micro, to meso and macro levels.
ECI works with non to semi-literate persons at the grassroots, all the way up to government functionaries including ministers and senior-level bureaucrats. They offer clients a range of training programs clustered around the following thematic areas: Peace & Education, Livelihood & Enterprise Development, Gender Mainstreaming, Good Governance & Institutional Strengthening, Technical & Advisory Services for Microfinance and Health & Nutrition. In collaboration with Karachi Youth Initiative, ECI has been conducting peace training for selected youngsters from Karachi.
Specifically in the domain of peace & education, 6 modules have been developed and 11 trainings have been conducted. The total number of participants in these trainings was 279 with 12,000 indirect beneficiaries. These trainings were conducted in Southern Punjab and Karachi. ECI’s highly experiential training packages are known as cutting edge in terms of quality, content and methodology.
