The Union of Syrian CSOs is the first coalition between Syrian civil society organisations in the modern history of Syria. It is concerned with lands and citizens' issues and accepts for membership any Syrian civil society organisation, inside or outside Syria. The Union of Syrian CSOs is an independent, non-governmental, non-political union; it does not discriminate in its members according to any sectarian, religious, national or other factors. the Union has 79 member organisations. Its areas of specialisation are relief, health, and education.
