Insight on Conflict is expanding. In recognition of Peace Direct's innovative work in the ten years we have been supporting local peacebuilders, we recently received a grant from the EU to expand our unique database of local organisations working to resolve and prevent conflict in 29 different areas.
By the end of the year, we will cover more than 40 countries, with our network of correspondents providing us with information on the local groups we know exist in difficult and dangerous places around the world - often doing fantastic but under-reported work.
We also have several exciting new features in the pipeline, and are looking forward to improving the depth and quality of our coverage.
As part of this work, we are currently looking for volunteers to help provide research support. We have a variety of work that needs doing, including helping us to draft, edit and review background information on our new geographical sections. We are also looking for blog submissions featuring debate and analysis of security issues and the peacebuilding context in these areas.
So if you have academic or professional research experience on peace and conflict issues in any of the following countries - and would be interested in contributing to a vibrant and expanding project - please get in contact with us. We'd be delighted to hear from you.
