Ian holds a Masters of Political Science from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and is an MA Candidate at Carleton University. He has acted as the Canadian Armed Forces Program Editor for the NATO Association of Canada and as a Russian Arctic research assistant at the University of Calgary’s Centre for Military and Strategic Studies. He is also a regular contributor to The Sentinel on post-Soviet security issues and provides Arctic and Baltic security analysis for Hollico Researching.
