Lord Jack McConnell is Scotland’s youngest First Minister (2001 – 2007) and was appointed to the House of Lords in June 2010. He has been actively involved in development and conflict resolution policies throughout his career and served as Gordon Brown’s Special Representative for Peacebuilding from 2008 to 2010. He is a Patron of the Diana Award and a UK Ambassador for Action for Children.
