Al-Dar Al-Arabia for Legalities and Advocacy is a civil society organisation established in 2010 in Sana'a. It works on a variety of issues including human rights work and development.
The founder of Al-Dar is registered in the General Schedule of the Yemeni lawyers association in 2005 and the Arab Lawyers Union in Cairo in 2008. Al-Dar consists of a major center located in Sana'a, and a network of law offices that represent it around the Arab world: in Beirut, Cairo, Baghdad, Amman, Dubai, Damascus, Jeddah, Al-Kuwait, and Tunis.
Al-Dar's human rights work focuses on:
- Offering judicial help to the needy and those who cannot afford legal fees.
- Advocating on issues related vulnerable groups in society including women, children, workers, refugees, the poor, prisoners and the disabled.
- Participating in the development of and disseminating legal culture and human rights knowledge among the Arab community.
