The Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society (CBCS) is a solidarity network of Bangsamoro NGOs and other civil society orgnanisations committed to sustainable advocacy for peace, human rights, good governance and development. It is a network that engenders cooperation, collaboration and coordination among Moro civil society orgnisations in facing the challenges of creating a peaceful and just society. It was founded on February 14, 2002.

The Consortium was organised as a result of a series of consultations and fora with Moro civil society organisations from different parts of Mindanao. These CSOs identified the need for a mechanism that effectively builds and enhances the capacities of Bangsamoro CSOs towards collective undertakings that can benefit the Bangsamoro people.

The Consortium envisions a society governed by justice where all peoples are respected for their inalienable right to exercise self-determination, co-exist harmoniously, and live in prosperity and dignity. Its mission is to help empower technically and politically the Bangsamoro civil society organisations towards more active participation in achieving justice, peace and human development.

The primary goal of the Consortium is to unify and consolidate the Bangsamoro CSOs for collective action towards social and human transformation.
