The Geissan Charity Society works on a wide range of activities in peacebuilding and relief aid in the Blue Nile area. They deliver relief materials and medication to Geissan, and educate people by training them in peace in collaboration with the IRC. They have purchased and installed telecom equipment for an area that lacked access to telephones. They also take care of the maintenance of mosques and assisted internally displaced people to return to their villages after the war.
When a dispute erupted between farmers and pastoralists who let their animals graze on the farmers land, the dispute would have become violent was it not for the intervention by the Geissan Charity Society.
