Le Groupe Lufalanga pour la Justice et la Paix is working towards the defence and protection of local communities. Create in October 1992 in Kisangani, the Groupe Lufalanga has four priorities:

• Civic and electoral education
• Monitoring human rights
• Support to marginalised people
• Peacebuilding and peaceful conflict resolution 

The organisation ensure civic education of communities by popularising concepts and values taught to people on the respect of fundamental human rights and a culture of peace.
