Naymote Partners for Democratic Development is a good governance and research institution working to advance democracy, transparency, human rights and participatory governance in Liberia. NAYMOTE believes that a purposeful and effective civil society is needed to set the national policy agenda, stimulate sound and healthy grassroots’ response to governance issues, and influence the uneven power dynamics that characterize the relationship between Liberia’s citizens and government. Since its establishment in 2001, NAYMOTE has initiated several programs to foster political accountability to make elected leaders more accessible, responsible, and accountable to the electorates; and to build the capacity of local leaders to be more effective in the delivery of essential government services.

ENGAGE: take young people on in new roles address issues that are relevant to them and influence real outcomes.
Through community organization and civic engagements, NAYMOTE has empowered youth leaders to advocate for positive change at the local government levels, resolve conflict peacefully, ensure vibrant community-based organizations, strengthen partnerships between youth and local government leaders, and promote disabled and female participation in the political fabric of Liberia.
The Young Political Leadership School Africa
Young people have the numbers that should be mobilize with the best amongst them to win elected offices bringing youth exuberance, new political thinking, but most especially good governance tenets with increased organizational skills, better planning skills, increased capacity to change the discourse of political engagement and motivation triggering down economically and building the inclusive Africa that We WANT.
The Young Political Leadership School Africa is contributing to the narrowing of the gaps and breaking down barriers as young people are winning seats at the local levels. At national institutions, they are becoming social activists demanding more from elected officials, holding their leaders accountable and preparing to play greater leadership roles in civil society, political parties and in national government. If supported, the next generation will be dominated with character-driven young leaders who are committed to the principles of rule of law, defending democracy, and strengthening good governance which is the missing ingredient in many African countries.

School Law and Justice Program
Naymote Partners for Democratic Development has taken law and justice education to high school students, which is intended to enable students get better understanding and education regarding the rule of law and justice under the institution’s School Law and Justice Program.
The program brings experienced police officers and lawyers to the classrooms to educate students in practical law, crimes prevention, conflict resolution, adherence to the rule of law, due process, and access to justice. The program is expected to help advance justice, promote peace, rule of law and democracy through seminars, lectures, and mock court trials to support Liberia's criminal justice system.
30 high schools are expected to benefit from the program targeting over 8000 students in Montserrado and Bong Counties. This week program is expected to be facilitated by Assistant Commissioner of Police for Community Service, Liberia National Police, Samuel G. Ford, and Atty. Joseph Cheeseman, Legal Associate Rule of Law Program, the Carter Center Liberia

NAYMOTE's activities have been implemented in collaboration and partnership with a variety of NGOs and government institutions, including the National Elections Commission, Federation of Liberian Youths, National Human Rights Center, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Governance Commission, and others such as the Ministry of Youths & Sports amongst others.
