Solidarite pour l'Encadrement et Lutte Contre la Pauvrete (SELP) is a non-governmental organisation involved in sustainable development with the aim of addressing the many peace and development challenges that threaten the Congolese population, particularly in Eastern DRC.

Promoting sustainable development and social cohesion through community-based activities is the objective assigned by SELP.
SELP has been working with the rural and urban community in the provinces of South Kivu and North Kivu since 2012, specifically in the territories of WALIKALE and MASISI, NYIRAGONGO and the town of GOMA in North Kivu, and the territories of KALEHE, IDJWI and KABARE in South Kivu.
SELP is officially recognised and operates under document F.92/31.820 with authorisations to operate in the territories.

Through a partnership with schools and universities in the above-mentioned areas, SELP supports young people in formal and informal education (learning trades), capacity building sessions, exchanges, support for IGAs, community meetings, research, protection, sensitisation of young people to leave armed groups and their supervision, SELP works for the consolidation of peace and sustainable development
