Trios Human Development Foundation has been working on community conflicts in Nigeria as a grassroots civil society organisation since 2009. During that time they have worked with the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) and UNDP . The organisation engages in training, counseling, mediation, peacebuilding and research. In March 2018, Trios Foundation Institute signed Memorandum of Understanding with IPCR National Peace Academy to carry out training programs in Conflict Management, peace practice and other interventions. The Institute is carrying out support and training programs for government and private establishments.

The activities of the organisation include capacity building, trauma/ drug abuse counseling/ rehabilitation and mediation. The organisation has contributed to the reduction in communal conflicts in Kwara state and other parts of Nigeria.
Trios advocacy and capacity building work has mitigated electoral violence and drug abuse among youths especially with its support to establishing Drug Free Club in schools. Trios Foundation Clinic is a choice center for substance abuse counseling, treatment and rehabilitation; we have specific interest in juvenile cases and our center where we also work with the Ministry for Social Development is a lead contact place for handling under aged drug users.
Trios global peace training program aims to encourage at least one person in every home to take online Certificate in Peace Practice course at the website www.trios-foundation.com, this is an entry level program for anyone with basic understanding of English language. The online program combined with our 3 days interactive training sessions qualify for the award of Fellowship Certificate in Peace Peace.
Trios is a member of Peace and Security Network (PSN) and West Africa Network of Peace Building (WANEP)
