The Association des Femmes Chercheurs de Cote d’Ivoire (AFEMC-CI) sees the role of women as essential to achieving peace and development in Cote d’Ivoire. AFEMC-CI supports women researchers and women's initiatives with governmental and non-governmental organisations in research for development.
The objectives of the organisation are:
- to be a framework for solidarity and exchange both between women researchers and other stakeholders in the national community;
- to create working and friendship ties with women's organizations, and national and international scientific organizations;
- to make available to the national or international community the skills and expertise of women researchers.
