OJLD is a community-based organization that works to find local solutions to problems of health, education, water, environment, human rights, gender and protection for participation in the development of vulnerable communities in Central African Republic.
Created on June 27, 2004, OJLD is a community-based organization that works to find local solutions to problems of health, education, water, environment, human rights, gender and protection for participation in the development of vulnerable communities.
In 2019, OJLD started an awareness campaign to ensure the registration of new people in the administrative registry to guarantee them access to the birth certificate. This innovative approach has allowed it to play an important role in mobilizing communities for the 2020 elections.
Indeed, it has organized a series of mass outreach campaigns to mobilize communities to register to vote.
To date, OJLD has reached just over 60,000 people across the country. It is a member of the APPR monitoring committee set up by the National Council of Central African Youth.
