Layla Hasso, graduated from the fine art university visual communication department in Damascus and has worked as an advocacy specialist since 2016.

Because of her passion for children's and women's rights and due to the protracted crisis and emergency context in her country Syria, Layla joined Hurras Network for child protection to participate in advocacy for children’s rights in emergency response for children in need.

Layla currently works as an advocacy and communication director and leads and manages many campaigns about child protection and education, the most recent one is about maternity leave for female teachers in northwest Syria. As part of her work as advocacy director, she attended intensive courses in child-safe guardian in media, TOT strategic advocacy for human rights, international law, and accountability mechanisms.

Layla Participated also in the preparation of several reports on the situation of children in North West Syria.
