The United Network of Youth for Peace and Diplomacy UNYPD was created to bridge the exclusion gap young women and youth face in local peacebuilding . The organization seeks to increase the capacity of young women and young people to participate in peace building and also prevent the radicalization of young people in the country.
As a youth organization, we Promote the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth Peace and Security by engaging in grass root advocacy, capacity building of young people especially of young women and peace education. Our vision is to see that young people become active change makers in their respective society.
We lead the project on Peace Education where we promote non-violent behavior among young people. Currently we are using peace clubs to promote active non-formal learning peace building in schools. We have more than 300 students we have reached in public schools. The aim is to use Peace education build the resilience of young boys and girls against extremism and renew their minds towards peace. The Peace Education project is helping to teach young boys and girls conflict transformation, anti-bullying, leadership and peer-dialogue
